Six Degrees From Dave

My day to day is still that of a Master CyberSleuth, a Strategy & Research Consultant on behalf of Palm Inc., as an Affiliate Partner to Shally Steckerl’s JobMachine Inc. and as a Public Speaker. I needed a platform to evangelize my passion on behalf of sourcing methodologies to develop niche talent strategies, promotion of employment branding and recruitment technologies. “Six Degrees from Dave” has evolved dramatically since its inception in July, 2006 to fulfill that vision.

It began as a blog highlighting the significance of social networking in developing talent pipelines and relationships into a broader overview of building upon that networking aspect with an appreciation for the rank and file and thought leadership with an-depth interviews on recruiting trends and best practices on a global scale. I had the opportunity to develop reports from Prague and Amsterdam with many more global, on-site research events planned for 2008.

Six Degrees” has developed into a true social networking community – with it’s membership group exploding to nearly 2,000 members in just one month.

Last year, “Six Degrees..” was distinguished by Recruiting.com as receiving the Most Votes for “Best Recruitment Blog of the Year” in 2006. I accept the Hireability Award for “Best Recruitment Blog of 2007″ with humility – it is our readers who made it possible. Special recognition to Shally Steckerl and Glenn Gutmacher, two great friends and personal mentors. Above all, I thank you our readers and everyone who was generous in their time and contributions in providing informative interviews, media content, and support.

“Six Degrees From Dave” – has been been nominated for both Best Overall Recruiting Blog AND Best Recruiting Industry Blog. The Winner wins a trip to Las Vegas and is selected by popular vote. Today is the last day for this Final End-of-Year Awards recognition season. I look forward to your continued support.
