As a globally renown speaker, author, and conference organizer – Any industry observer understands that Kevin Wheeler is among the first of those recognized within Thought Leadership circles. His capability to provoke and direct discussions on architecture of human capital strategies, while guiding them through talent acquisition processes and procedures – is matched only by his capacity to listen and willingness to learn from his students, clients and audiences. On a personal level, Kevin, is candid, data driven, and above all, charming to a fault and generous with his feedback with a sense of humor which disarms the timid and empowers the conception of every idea yet spoken aloud. Kevin’s stature is not simply due to knowledge and expertise, but likewise to boundless enthusiasm and the ability to befriend, to mentor and to build community. I have watched afar this well traveled gentleman and industry soothsayer. Today I am fortunate to count Kevin as both a valued friend and colleague, and in each instance, a wiser, better practitioner and person shall I be.

“Kevin was introduced to me as an expert in the field of Talent & Recruitment in 2004 during one of his visits to New Zealand. Before that I was an avid reader of his on-line publications and articles on the subject. In the time following our introduction, I have attended several conference events where Kevin has been a keynote speaker and have gleaned invaluable learning from him on global trends in talent, work design of the future, recruitment analytics and related topics. I have also engaged Kevin to deliver presentations on talent issues to senior level management and hiring decision makers within my previous organisation and found this to be an excellent training and education opportunity to highlight key messages to this stakeholder group. This has in turn enabled me to drive talent initiatives within my organisation to a higher level. Kevin is both professional and knowledgeable, but in spite of his vast experience, he is also both personable and an all round “nice guy”. It has been my privelege to be associated with him, and my sincere wish is that our association will continue long into the future.”

Carol Brown, Group Recruitment Manager, Beca NZ (June 11, 2007)
