I love Argali.com but many people can’t/won’t install applications on their desktop and much preferr online solutions. So -here’s a few:
If you come accross a phone number but want to know if its a mobile or land line, and get a reverse lookup, check out PhoneValidator.
I looked up my own (which BTW is Vonage) and I get:

Though its a VoIP it does technically resolve to a land line so that’s correct! I also tried my mobile and it accurately shows AT&T, Atlanta, GA. Kewl!
Then I tried FoneFinder with that same number which has the added advantage of also working on International numbers and this one is WAY cool! You enter an area code, prefix and the first digit of the last quartet. It provides the State, Provider and Telco Type!
I entered a Zip Code and got the following report:
| Description | Query Result |
|---|---|
| Zip Code | 30071 |
| Area Code | 770 |
| Countyname | GWINNETT |
| State Name | Georgia |
| City | NORCROSS |
| Timezone | GMT-5 hours |
| Nearest City | Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, GA |
| Population | 22220 |
| Avg. House value | $117700 |
| Income per household | $48270 |
Note that this provides County, Ciry, Population, average House Value, Average Income and Time Zone! Very useful.
Enjoy!
