With last nights updates you can now manage your Inbox (Action Items). The interface is a bit different, and there’s not much to the “management” of your inbox, but you can do the following:

  • Sort by Date: i.e. oldest first so you can deal with those first instead of the newest.
  • Sort by Sender: The “From” field – for example you can group requests from the same person.
  • Sort by Subject: So you can lump all the “Hi!” ones together and all the “Networking” ones for example.
  • Sort by Type: but you could already do that from the left menu anyway.

https://www.linkedin.com/img/logos/logo.gifIf you get a large number of daily requests to forward (most top LinkedIn users get dozens a day) it can get difficult to keep things going. So now you can go into the “To Forward” and sort there as well! Here you get a couple of choices for sorting as above. In addition to “From” and “To” which are very useful, you can sort by “Status” as well as Date and also Subject but there’s one more and that is Action Status which sorts the requests by “You.” Hm… I wonder how we can use that? LOL!

Now, instead of sorting, wouldn’t it be nice if they filtered? That would be totally ground breaking and awesome! Perhaps its the next generation.

Have fun sorting!

Cheers,
Shally
