I found her background impressive: See more at 4Talent An Evening Discussion: Women in leading roles
Rosaleen Blair was born and educated in Ireland. She describes her early career in Ireland as one of “serial entrepreneurship”. Since first opening a small recruitment agency in Dublin back in 1990 she has not looked back.
Rosaleen moved to London in 1994 and established Alexander Mann Solutions as an autonomous division of the Alexander Mann Group in 1996. She had one main objective in mind: to transform large-scale recruitment from a transactional affair to a management consultancy model. Rosaleen is widely regarded as the person who has brought RPO to Europe. She led a management buy-out, backed by Graphite Capital, in 2007. In 2008 AMS purchased Capital Consulting, a leading RPO player operating in Europe and the Asia Pacific region, and Rosaleen oversaw the merger of the business.
Rosaleen has led AMS from its humble beginnings to being recognised as the global leader in its chosen field of operation. Her achievements have not gone un-noticed by the wider business community and she was awarded the prestigious Young’s London Business Products & Services Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2006 and the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year in 2007. In 2010, she was named as a Global HRO Superstar by HRO Today magazine and by the Staffing Industry Analyst as one of the “25 most powerful people in staffing”.
