It’s been an amazing last few weeks, and I plan on sharing in far greater detail my adventures with you my friends, but needless to say one of the highlights of this past month was seeing John Sumser putting together a magnificent Recruiting “Roadshow” in Las Vegas on February 26th, sponsored by Recruitingblogs.com The audience was comprised of over 175 members of the local Las Vegas staffing community with an all-star line-up of presenters. John has created a venue where thought leadership and in-person social networking avail themselves to industry practitioners unaccustomed to the usual conference circuit, bringing best practices to a local, grass roots level. His commitment to this series is commendable, and his passion, as well as those of his fellow presenters, was evidenced and shared among all who attended.
I want to make special mention of my friend, the legendary Don Ramer, CEO of Arbita. He is, by far, one of the most profoundly articulate thought leaders I have witnessed in my time. Seamless, flawless in each connotation expressed, and, indeed, impactful to one’s mental processes as you digest his message of hope, vision, and substantive content on any given topic. Sitting next to him at dinner was a privilege in itself, but to hear him speak, front and center … this was among the most memorable moments of my staffing career, sincerely stated.
Don discusses the powerful medium of social networking, with particular fascination of Linkedin as a professional networking tool. Listen Closely, and you will hear one of the kindest accolades of credit given to our maestro, Shally Steckerl.
